when trying to authentificate to my internet provider's account, i get http://id.orange.fr/common/html/incident-service-500.html#AL1
A couple of days ago, i started having problems when signing in to my internet provider Orange. when clicking on the authentification icon, a blank page opens with URL http://id.orange.fr/common/html/incident-service-500.html#AL1. This does not happen with firefox under windows on a different machine.

Thanks a lot, cor-el, but that doesn't do it. My cookie-management is quite tight anyway (at least I try...) and usually there are no unwanted things lurking in dark corners. I wonder if this not linux-related rather than FF, because from another machine running FF under Win there is no problem at all. The only other similar incident i have read about is related to k-meleon.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode
Check and tell if its working while you are Browsing in Firefox Safe Mode.

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Tried that, too, but it doesn't change a thing. Finally, i found a more radical solution by completely removing FF and all extensions and installing Seamonkey instead. No problem anymore and the browser looks fine at first glance. One of these days, when the days grow colder and shorter i will upgrade to 11.4 and perhaps reinstall FF, have been using it for many many years. Thanks to all for your help!
