Yesterday when my computer restarted, it showed a message "The Recylcle Bin on C:\ is corrupted. Do you want to empty the Recycle Bin for this drive?", and choices for yes and no. I chose no.

Now my TB Trash folder has been cleared out, and I want to restore the messages. How do I do this? Are they still on the server somewhere?

TB is linked to a Gmail account, but those deleted messages are only kept for 30 days.

Thanks.

I suggest you fix the corruption of your windows recycle bin before you worry about anything else. If it is corrupt lord only knows what else may be corrupt as corruption is an indication of a failing physical hardware, like a drive.

Things missing in Thunderbird may also be missing because of file corruption is the hard disk is no longer reliable.

Thanks.

How do I fix the corrupted Recycle Bin?

And is there any way to figure out if a drive is failing?

open windows file manager. Select the C:\ drive. Right click the C:\ drive and select properties. On the tools tab click the check button.

You will probably have to restart our computer to allow the check to run. It might take a relatively short time, but it also could take a couple of hours.
