Google Lables and Thunderbird Address books
Hello,
I have a problem using TB 78.x with Google contacts, especially linking the Google Lables with TB. I used gContactSync, which allowed me to connect the Google labels to TB address books. This way I could manage the central address collection for my family and sync only the necessary address books with each family member. Unfortunately, as gContactSync no longer works with TB 78.x, I cannot do that any more. Using TBSync creates a new address book, but that containes ALL contacts in a single address book. I no longer can add contacts in TB and assign them to address books / labels in order to manage and sync contact groups. TBSync allows for categories, but that information is not transferred to Google contacts (e.g. as a lable) As TB itself does not sync with Google, there seems to be no add-on that allows to sync the information contained in the Google labels and the TB address books. Any advice to resolve that issue would be welcome.
Friedrich

TbSync has withdrawn support for Google, for now. Card Book does sync TB with Google Contacts, but it also doesn't sync TB mailing lists with Contacts labels.
Hello sfhowes, I know that TBSync has withdrawn support for Google, thanks to some i****s that don't know how to behave. But as you mentioned, TBSync did not support Google lables anyway. I wish there would be a link between Google labels and vcards (TBSync) categories. That would have solved my problem just fine. Anyway, unless someone knows about or creates an add-on to sync TB 78.x address books with Google contacts, including lables, I have a real problem as my whole contact management, including my FritzBox router and phone book, relies on Google lables and TB address books. I may have to look for a different Email-Client, which I would hate to do, as I like TB. But if TB and Android cannot cooperate, that is a big problem. Probably not only for me. Greetings Friedrich
I could be mistaken, but Card Book didn't sync the labels. You could contact the developer to possibly find out why, or if it's planned in the future.
