I just asked a question about email not downloading to thunderbird and got an answer which I think meant that this was not the place to ask. I cannot find an open question place in Thunderbird. Where can I get support?

You posted this and that other thread in the (desktop) Firefox section of the support forum. It should have been posted in the Thunderbird support forum section.

Look at top for Get Help > Browse All Products > scroll down to Thunderbird and click on it > Look to right for "Still need help? Continue to post your question and get help" and click on Ask Now which will lead to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird/form
