Successfully migrated to a new server on desk top and android phone. Same settings on a laptop results in repeating "login to server failed" with requests for password; and will not connect.

Thanks for pointing to a solution.

Hi, are you using the identical URL in Firefox in each case? And getting the same login page?

In that case, you would expect the same result. Hmm. If you previously saved a login, you might need to go to the Passwords page and update it there in case the autofill of an old password is causing the problem.

Thank you. The old pw was stored. I removed it and added the new pw. Now I can't connect to the server. Any additional suggestions?

Can you think of any settings differences between your desktop and laptop? That might include Tracking Protection/cookie settings, or different add-ons.

Could you start a new question on the Thunderbird forum for that issue:

I'm trying to think of why they both might be having problems at the same time. Do you use a VPN or proxy software?
