Can not write a regular email and send or reply to email
What prevents you from doing this?
I do not know what is preventing me from sending emails. I can receive emails but the only way I can respond to an email that I have received is to respond as a fowarded email. This means I have to retype the senders email every time I answer an email.
Still, if it is not working, I guess you must be seeing some sort of error. Perhaps you could share that information. We are not mind readers. We know exactly what you tell us. Tell us nothing and we are left guessing.
If I try to write an email and try sending it there is no error message. The status screen says attaching and the sending message constantly runs . The email is never sent.
What is your anti-virus software?
Avast
Have tried loading new certificate to Avast as above link instructed. No luck still can not sent or reply to email without using forward feature and retyping senders email. I have even tried disabling Avast to see if that would work and I get the same results. The message that I get when an email is trying to be replied to is Status: Attaching . It says attaching even though there is no attachment. The same message comes up even when trying to send a normal email. When I receive an email and respond using the forward feature the Status says: Delivering and the email goes right through.
Try to start *Windows* in safe mode with networking enabled.

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode.

Does the problem go away?
