Deleted bookmarks still showing as suggestions in navigation bar
Why are bookmarks that I've long since removed still showing as suggestions in my navigation bar? (And yes, I've cleared the cache and history 1000 times.)

The browser also looks in your history file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
