Crashes when loading up web elements / RSS feed results (Bug 1353704) in safe mode
Two crash dumps of the event happening: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/4376ab61-4aa2-4082-8140-749a60170521 , https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/3996a36e-32d4-42f3-96c5-b3f190170521 (under safe mode)
Same case as https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1160061 (I would've posted there but seems like there is no way to register without posting a question.....)
Version 52.1.1
When opening Thunderbird, it will freeze for a while (which it didn't do in earlier versions), then load up the inboxes. Opening an email in a new tab, or just clicking a RSS feed item will freeze the program again, this time for longer. For emails, it will load them, and start the 'countdown'. For feed items, either it loads up (starting the 'countdown' too) or it closes the program without loading.
With countdown I'm referring to the fact that, after a random amount of time between 5-30 minutes approx., with no noticeable memory increment AFAIK, it will suddenly crash.
Dealbreaker for me, makes it extremely hard to check the email.

Wayne Mery saidhttps://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1353704 Can you help us find the regression range??Hmm, I think I didn't get what you meant there. The affected versions? It just happened with this latest one, 52.1.1 ; the previous one (52.1.0) worked perfectly. I can install it if there's a link at hand and it helps pinpoint the bug. Or should I also try with the 55.0 nightly one posted in that linked thread?
That's an interesting observation, because the general experience in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1353704 is it started in 52.1.0.
You could certainly try 55.0a1

Well, this is weird. I installed that Daily version (in another path) and it caught on the emails and disabled the theme I had (TT deepdark). I tried opening Thunderbird (which inherited the configs and left the theme disabled) and... It works perfectly now! I reenable the theme, uninstall Daily and restart the computer... And it's still working fine! No more crashes.
I wonder what happened when installing Daily to fix it... Maybe it was a broken configuration? Or something lacking that the installer added?
