I get the question "Please enter the password for the software device" I never created or received a password. When I go to settings, security, there is no place to create a password. This site asks for a password to change the password. I never had a password!

Try to rename/remove the secmode.db file in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
