Reinstall Firefox to a different location

more options

I accidentally installed the Firefox Developer Edition to the wrong hard drive, so I tried uninstalling it so I could reinstall it to a different location. However, when I open the installer, it only gives the option to reinstall and installs back to the old location. Is there a way to re-install Firefox to a different location than the previous install?

Did you delete it from the other location after uninstalling it? And did you use a ccleaner to clean and redo the install? Usually if you uninstall it and reinstall it should find the right directory to install in.

I performed the uninstall via Windows' Apps & Features under Settings. I checked Program Files to ensure the folder was deleted and used CCleaner to clean up the hanging registry entries. When I attempt to run the Firefox Installer again, it still only gives me the option to reinstall, with no options to change the installation path.

In case you are using the small "stub" or "online" installer, you probably need to download a "full" or "offline" installer to have the option to choose your own installation folder.

Does that work?
