Is there an addon that will add the ability of allowing the user to disable/enable any given addon from a toolbar button?

For instance, from the individual addon toolbar button context menu, or from a drop down list provided by the toolbar button of an addon created for the purpose of disabling/enabling addons.

Am I mistaken in recalling a time in the not too distant past when Firefox offered the feature by default?

You can move the slider to the left on about:addons to the off position to disable an extension. Some extensions allow to disable them via its context menu and have them dormant. You can disable or enable extensions from running in Private Browsing mode.

practice your power of NO said

You can right click on toolbar extension icons to open the management. There is not a disable option. There is a remove.
Yes, not convenient. Too may steps. Back and forth/Enable /disable. :)

My point is, I want to be able to not only disable, but to enable as well, when the need arises, quickly and easily.

Example, on some Amazon pages, there are purchase suggestions in the form of images. I have image enlarging addons which are very helpful on Amazon, but in some circumstances, not welcome. If you hover over an image, it magnifies the image, but only for a scant split second do you see the blur of the cost of the item and any preliminary description, because the expanded image eliminates the illustration of that info. So, I have to travel over to about:addons and disable the addon. Then, when I again want the benefit of expanding the image, I have to go back again and enable it.

When you're shopping and comparing products, which can be a time consuming exercise, this is a major nuisance.

You can try to contact the developer of this extension and ask if he can add a way to disable his extension temporarily. Note that you can right-click an image and middle-click "View Image" to pen this image in a new tab. I do this regularly with viewing screenshots attached on this forum that are larger than my screen to see the full image.

Guess what? I never realized that addon I mentioned actually has an on/off button, but not on the context menu. Left clicking on the toolbar button brings it up. Embarrassing.

But I'd still think it would be great, in general, to have this kind of feature. As helpful as they are, anyone who is constantly nagged by shopping apps knows what I mean.
