Firefox loads the last page I visited the first time Firefox is opened after computer has been turned off or rebooted.
For the past few days after the last Firefox update, Firefox seems to retain in its memory the last site visited before I turn off my computer, even though I have my options set to clear history (basically clear everything) every time I close Firefox. When I turn my computer back on and launch Firefox for the first time (usually from my tool bar), the last site I was on shows up. So, for instance, the last site I was on was my Hotmail account a few hours ago. When I turned my computer on again and launched Firefox, what showed up was my Hotmail inbox---even though I had signed out of it before shutting down my computer previously. I use Windows Vista and Norton 360 as my antivirus. To add to the "this happened" section of this form, what I described happened every time Firefox was opened for the first time after a reboot or turning the computer on after any period of time being off.

- Make sure that in Tools, Options, Content you don't have 'open tabs from last time' selected.
- In the Tabs section of the Options window, tick 'Ask before closing multiple tabs'.
I think these two should help to resolve the issue.
To solve this issue you need to go to Tools -> Options -> General and change item in drop down menu next to "When Firefox Starts" to e.g. "Show my home page"
