Similar problem after upgrading to ff27 on an XP-SP3 machine, also happens in ff safe mode. Mine said inst. at 0x0095db01, add. 0x4 (not x10). This was consistently driving me nuts. No problems with ff27 on a W7 laptop. After a lot of searching, and firing up IE8 on the XP ( I never use it), I discovered an old and disabled search qu toolbar installation which didn't show in firefox. After uninstalling this piece of rubbish, the shutdown problem on ff27 and 27.01 went away. My own fault for not doing a proper job on the awful searchqu. I did notice a lot of firefox references during the (extensive !) searchqu uninstall.
You have the system requirements: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox.../system-requirements/ so looking in your troubleshooting information, the graphics driver is not updated. Please try to update them with these instructions Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL
