check your mail account smtp settings to see if it is not Authenticating using the password.

Tools > Account settings > Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the list, select the server you are using as smtp server for the mail account Check: username = your email address Check: Authentication Method : Normal password. If you need to alter anything, click on 'Edit' Remember to click on all the OK's to save any changes.


If this appears ok and does not resolve the issue, please post this info: In thunderbird Help > Troubleshooting Information click on 'copy text to clipboard' paste info into this question. you can edit/ remove all info on fonts and printers.

if you have more than one account, state which account is having the problem.

The address mentioned in the error is Sonoma State University. the other address is DSL connection for Ldcom Given the error message is in French I must assume the error is originating in Ldcoms network.

84.99.157.130 is blacklisted on a number of spam reporting lists.

I suggest you contact ldcoms and ask them what they will be doing about the situation and the fact their ip addresses are blacklisted. Or if you are using a DSL IP address to host a mail server chat to them about how to achieve that successfully as well
