Whenever I use Firefox and do a search, I get results that are NO WHERE NEAR WHERE I LIVE!! It keeps giving me results for some where in Texas....I do not live in TX, have never lived in TX, and my computer has never been to TX.

Following is the information I was given in a Verification Email from a service that I use: Account randybowls300@live.com

Location Addison, Texas, United States

IP Address 173.173.79.158

Again, Never been to Addison, TX - - DON'T KNOW WHERE IT IS, EVEN!!! WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING?

Is this your corrrect location? State/Region: Nebraska City: Columbus

My guess is that the search engine you are using has inaccurate information about the actual location for some IP Addresses. (There are at least 3 major services in North America, which I am aware of, that provide that IP address / location data for the websites & search engines, and some are better than others.)

"Wrong location" is sometimes it's the internet service providers fault, while other times it's with a small internet service provider that connects some of their customers to a larger / different service provider that "resells" their connections rather than the small provider "stringing new lines" into a new service area at great cost where a competitor has lines that are a lot closer. Seems to be a problem for users in remote locations, but not always. And sometimes is caused temporarily when an internet service provider is re-doing their system "connections to the backbone"; but that usually goes away after a few weeks or a few months.

Bottom line is that you should contact your internet service provider and tell them what is happening.
