Slight crackling noise very specific for youtube live streams.
I watch alot of youtube videos, twitch streams etc, but for some reason, only when I am on a youtube live stream, I can hear crackling noise at random. It is a slight crackling noise, but it is driving me crazy. I do not have this problem with Google Chrome, so I'll use that in the meantime, but if this could be solved, I would be greatful.

I suggest :

as you should have been force moved to the Extended Release Version of Firefox, current version 52.7.3ESR a year ago. or updated to 57+ Quantum, Current Release Firefox 59.0.2 Full Version Installer
So please back up now. Your version 52.9 is not supported.
56.0.2 and below is no longer safe to use for every day use do to security issues, but 52.7.3 ESR. It will continue to get security updates until June 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: *https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after June 2018. Search for replacements :
Firefox 52.9.0esr out on June 26 (same time as 60.1.0esr) will be the last major update for Firefox 52 ESR apart from any 52.9.x esr updates for security or allowed stability fixes.
Firefox 60.2.0esr based on Quantum will be out Aug 21 and Firefox 52 ESR will be EOL then. So people will have to upgrade to 60.2.0esr to keep getting security updates if they have not manually upgraded to 60.x.o ESR already. Firefox 60 ESR will require Windows 7, 8, 10.

I didn't know you would collect browser data, but I think I posted this from Pale Moon wich could be the reason you thought I used an old firefox version. I am actually using Firefox Beta, but I have tried using Nightly, and stable realeses, and all have this issue. I made a short youtube video trying to explain the issue, https://youtu.be/IqV5o00oLc4
