How can I change what to sync, BEFORE syncing?
Hi, I wanted to install FF dev edition. How can I set what to sync before actaully syncing? I know I can change settings afterwards, but then everything has been synced already, and I don't want add-ons, book marks to sync.
thanks AO

there are services.sync.engine.* Boolean prefs present on the about:config page for each of the engines that you can sync. You can try to set the engines that you do not want to include to false to see if that works as I don't know if the Sync startup code touches these prefs or only reads them.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

Hello info2419, I understand what your asking and below are the steps to do it, 1. Click on your account avatar (aka Firefox Account) on the toolbar. 2. Once you did that, you should see Sync Settings, click on it. 3. Below, You are currently syncing, you will see everything you are syncing. 5. Click the Change... button then pick what to sync and your done! Please tell me if that went out well and, Stay Safe!
I cannot see "sync settings". See screenshot.
@info2419 Try signing in
Well, if I sign in, then everything gets synced. Thats the problem.
Were you signed in earlier? You can't sync anything if your not signed in.
OK, so you don't understand, what I am asking afterall. :) The problem is: If I sign in, everything gets synced. I don't want everything to get synced. But I guess theres no way to change that...
Thank you anyways...
