i currently have a sheet of paper for my thunderbird desktop icon. Can I have the same icon that is on my task bar (a thunderbird world type icon) put on my desktop instead of the drab sheet of paper icon. My thunderbird version is 93.062 (32 bit). Thank you, Brian

Hello sfhowes, Many thanks for your very detailed reply for my desktop icon question relevant to my windows 10 Lenovo G710 laptop. I realise I am appearing stupid, but I am finding the solution difficult to enact and very afraid of creating more problems than the one I am trying to solve. Daft am I not!!! Kindest regards

I think the risk of rebuilding the cache is very low. Perhaps you would find it easier to use the bat file here.
