I moved to a rural area and now have to use a satellite internet provider called WildBlue. Wildblue recommended combining firefox with their log-in which they claimed would make things move faster and would make it possible to install their "optimizer." Nothing they have downloaded works.

I would like to separate the two, firefox and wildblue and just keep the wildblue log-in in bookmarks.

I do not really know what does Wildblue mean by "their log-in". I used to use WildBlue with DirectTV and I have no problem using Firefox whatsoever. I had also install their optimizer without any interference with Firefox. Here's my take:

1. Their "optimizer" really didn't make much difference with my internet speed, but there's no harm to install it though 2. You can install their portal without integrating into Firefox, just install it as a separate program, which was what I did

I hope this helps.

Hi. I did combine the wildblue log-in with firefox, as wildblue recommended. Now I want to separate them.

You would have to call Wildblue and ask them how to disable that. As I mentioned, I have no idea what did Wildblue mean by "log-in" since Wildblue is an ISP while Firefox is a browser, you should not need to log-in to Wildblue to access Firefox. Wildblue should be able to guide you how to separate them. Once you did, just install their portal (optimizer) and you should have no problem using Firefox.

FYI, You do not need to log-into Wildblue to use Firefox. I never did. You only log-in Wildblue while you want to make any changes in your account. I really think they are misleading you.
