I can't tag friends on Facebook by typing in their names
In Firefox for my desktop (Linux Mint) I am able to enter in a person's name and tag them in a post or comment. For example, when I type in my wife's name it will tag her in the post/comment and alert her that I have mentioned her in a post/comment. I am also able to do this on Facebook's mobile site using Chrome for Android. Unfortunately this behavior doesn't happen in Firefox on my Android phone.
I thought it might be one of my add-ons (I am using Adblock Edge and Ghostery), but I uninstalled both of them and I am still experiencing the same behavior (or lack thereof).
Anyone know what might be causing this?

I figured out a way to fix this issue. Install the Phony add-on (which allows you to change the user agent string) and set the user agent string to Firefox OS. Then re-load Facebook's mobile site. You should be able to tag people by entering their names now.
So it does not appear to be a JS issue, it appears to be how Facebook renders the site for Firefox for Android. If you make it think you're using something else (e.g. Firefox OS) it will render properly.

This does not happen for me either. However in the mobile site when posting you can add a name with the person icon.
However when tagging an image the faces and names pop up. Please make sure to clear the cache for the site and update to the latest version of Firefox on Android.
Clearing cache did not help, and I am using the latest version of Firefox for Android. Are you sure there isn't an issue with your implementaton of JavaScript?
Yes, because there is a different version of the Facebook on mobile.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. I am only having this problem with Firefox for Android - Firefox on my desktop works just fine. I'm able to tag friends on Facebook's mobile site using Chrome for Android, so this would imply that there is a bug in Firefox for Android, and I am assuming it is a problem in how Firefox uses JavaScript.
