I have had my email hacked. I have deleted the email address on the SMTP server but Thunderbird is not allowing me to delete the hacked email address.
I have had my email "johnh@abelapublishing.com" hacked. I have deleted the email address on the ISP mail server and created a new email "john@abelapublishing.com" - without the H immediately after John. On Thunderbird I have added the new email address (see attached). However everytime I try and send an email, Thunderbird keeps asking me for the password to the original email. How do I make the new email the main/default email address and delete the old email marked in bold on the attached - which I assume is the correct course of action?
Regards
John Halsted

Get into Account Settings.
Select the new address to be the Default. At the very bottom of the account list in the left side is Account Actions. Under that menu is Set As Default.
FYI: Posting your email address is a public forum is the best way to provider that info to hackers. I would edit that info out and refrain from posting personal info in the future.
