I am using Thunderbird email client and since yesterday I am not receiving any email in Thunderbird. I have also re-configured email but the problem still persists.

Please help how to fix this error.

Why? Did you determine your settings where incorrect? If so, how? Or did you just try arbitrary combinations of settings? If so, stop it. Use the settings as per your email provider information.

Please help how to fix this error.

We are using settings as per email provider only and the settings are correct we are also using the services for different users however we encounter the error in this specific email address. Also attached the screenshot of the error message. We have been getting this message from last two days and we have gone through the online support and had done some changes according to the FAQs. However, we are still getting the same error message hence we have re-configured the email account.
Please help how to fix this error.

I do not see any error message. All I see is your status bar stating there are no unread messages and no messages to download. That is not an error message. An error message usually appears in a pop up window or in a bounced back email.

Q: Are you getting any pop up error messages? If yes, please post image of error message.

At this point, I assume the account is checking for new messages and you see logging on, connecting, connected info in Status bar, then it says no new messages so nothing to download.

What does it say in 'Activity Manager' ? 'Menu icon' > 'Activity Manager' Q: Does it list the account name which is having the issue and state 'No messages to download' and is the date/time today and recent?

Log on to the webmail account using a browser. Q: Are there new messages in the server Inbox?

Assuming the issue is everything seems to be connecting to server, but it is not downloading all the new messages in the server Inbox and there are new messages in the 'Inbox' on the server.

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • 'Do not check box "Include account names"!
  • click on 'Copy to clipboard' button
  • In this forum question, right click in a 'Post a Reply' text box and select 'Paste'
  • Remove/edit all info on fonts and printers but nothing else.
  • State which of the account numbers is having the problem.
