Since the update that changed the cookie management, I have not been able to delete just my cache without losing all my cookies & login information. I'm no longer able to automatically sign into a bunch of my sites.

How do you normally clear the cache?

If you are using the "Clear Data..." button on the Settings page (Privacy and Security panel), the little dialog that pops up lets you choose either Cached Web Content, or Cookies and Site Data, or both. So in that case, make sure that Cookies and Site Data is not checked, only Cached Web Content.

If you are using the "Clear Recent History" dialog, there are a bunch of checkboxes to control what is cleared. Make sure that Cookies, Site settings, and Offline website data are not checked.

If you are using the "Clear history when Firefox closes" feature, there are a bunch of checkboxes to control what is cleared, if you click the Settings button to the right of that row. Make sure that Cookies, Site settings, and Offline website data are not checked.
