I have had this problem a lot with advertising websites, they seem to not display correctly but in other browsers they do. I would much like to find out why this is happening so I can view websites like these in firefox (my fave browser).

firefox displays like... http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c391/steveyk/firefoxdisplayiswrong.jpg Internet explorer displays correctly like http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c391/steveyk/IEdisplayiscorrect.jpg

this seems to happen to a lot of advertising based websites like http://www.advertising.com/ for instance and there are a few more which I dont really have time to look for :)

if anyone is familiar to how i can fix this so that I can use firefox for this site please let me know. By the way this is the display for the default settings of firefox 3.6

  • If you use extensions like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flashblock that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking that content.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
