Why does Google Chrome start up so much faster than FireFox 3.6?

I recently downloaded the latest version of Google Chrome, 9.0.597.98, and it starts right up - without a pause. I love FireFox, and it doesn't have as many bugs as Chrome, and it seems more and more people are switching from IE to FireFox, but I like how fast Chrome starts up. Is there a new version of FireFox that's coming out soon that loads super quick?

Large parts of Firefox are written in XUL (ML and JavaScript) that needs to be compiled. It is what makes Firefox highly customizable. Firefox 4 will have a startup cache and should start a lot quicker than current Firefox versions, but probably still not start as fast as IE and Google Chrome.
