restore session

My Firefox crashed. When it restored it didn't bring up the sorry restore message. I went through and found the session.bak that has my last browsing session. I deleted the session.js and rebooted, but the same home page comes up every time. I have tried 11 times and the same result. I even tried to copy the session.bak and name it session.js. Still no luck. What am I doing wrong?

Firefox 4 and later versions save the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox") if you want to restore multiple windows.
You can use "History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.
You may need to click the orange/gray Firefox button to see History.
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.

In my haste, I misspoke, and meant to write sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak above. I appreciate the information, however, "History>Restore Previous Session" and the "Restore Previous Session" button were both grayed out - not available. I did however, try the "File>Exit" tip and eventually, the "oops sorry, do you want to restore the last session" popped up. Thank you so much, I am back in business now.
