not remembering websites
My firefox is driving me nuts. I am using mac desktop and when I type in the website addresses into firefox it has stopped remembering them. How do I fix this?
It is still remembering passwords.
I do have an Old Firefox data folder on the desktop.
I have uninstalled the program and loaded a new one today still no fix.

also top sites and highlights on the home page are not showing.
This is the best way to uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.1 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
Note : Updated version # has some fixes for a Mac
You or Firefox have turn off the New Tab Features they can be put back with the tiny gear icon upper right corner of a new tab if choose to do so or options as to what is there.
Copy/Paste about:preferences#privacy in to Address Bar and Enter History is 2nd one down, is it Marked : Remember History ?
The old date base is your Profile, bookmarks, passwords, history...lol Save for now.
