I need correct information, I am trying to fix fire fox
I have found an article on how to see if add ons have prevented firefox from working. The only problem is the article is written by somebody who is not familiar with the safe mode options of firefox. Also they are not familiar with Windows Vista. They said that vista can access firefox safe mode by clicking on the start button and entering a certain entry there. I did that and pressed enter. The entry was erased and never entered the safe mode. Fortunately windows vista has an easier method to get to firefox safe mode from all programs where under the fire fox envelope you select firefox safe mode. Then there is another mistake this person makes. They say to try to see which add ons are causing the problem, by after changing the theme for instance in safe mode, then click restart firefox. But the safe mode does not have any location that says restart. You cannot click restart firefox because that does not exist. The person is not able to provide a method that safe mode provides so the trouble shooting is stopped dead in its tracks. So how can a person try different add ons and make changes if the method for doing so to see which ones might cause fire fox to not interact with windows. The making changes in safe mode does not save those changes out side of safe mode. The incorrect instructions of clicking restart firefox when there is no click restart fire fox to click. Please give instructions that are relevant to the program being used, not something that is not an option provided. Where are there accurate instructions on trouble shooting fire fox.
Safe mode works, but safe mode settings cannot be transferred to normal mode in firefox. As safe mode is only set on safe mode. Once safe mode is closed, restarting the firefox has the same disfunction, it cannot interact with windows, and nothing can load.

Put a checkmark on "Disable all add-ons" then click the "Make changes and restart Firefox" button on that same dialog box. Firefox will then try to start in normal mode with all add-ons disabled. Hopefully this time Firefox will start and then you can try to find out which addon is causing the problem by enabling them one at a time until Firefox stops working again.
You must restart Firefox each time you enable a addon to see if Firefox will still open.
Then you can remove that bad addon by going to:
Tools > Add-ons > Extensions
and clicking the "Uninstall" or "Disable" button, restart Firefox afterwards.
