Frefox sometimes refuses to play any videos on any website (YT, FB...), i dont know the reason, it's pretty much random and requires the restart of the browser.

As the title says.

I have flash disabled so only play html5 videos. My firefox client is running only 2 extensions, ad block plus and greasemonkey, but this issue started before i had the latter and i don't think APB is doing this.

My firefox version is 43.0.4

I've tried that extension, while i didn't use it enough time to see if its a fix, youtube comments do not work with it enabled.

Flash Player Test Page
YouTube Test Page: What video does this browser support

That's not helpful at all, i said the extension affects stuff on youtube like the comment section, also it doesn't fix this issue, i was using that extension and videos suddenly didint play and were stuck at 0:00/ out of 0:00..

Those pages test what formats your system can work with.

If it works after a restart of Firefox then it sounds that the HTML5 media player crashes or stops working because problems with some media files. If you can reproduce such a bug reliably then you can consider to file a bug report. You would have to ensure the availability of the file by hosting it somewhere, so devs can try to reproduce as well. You can also try Nightly alpha builds to check if the problem has already been fixed.

I've also have sometimes noticed a problem if I stop the player (i.e. don't let the HTML5 media player finish playing a file).

well chrome can play all and firefoxs is missing just the last one "MSE & WebM VP9"

but again, its not helpful because its not a compatibility issue, videos that i've seen just didin't play when that happens, i've tested by going to my youtube and browser history.

Also something weird happened, i didin't had to restart firefox, last time i got it, i just left the browser open and went to dine, when i came back i could play videos again. but it still annoying and i need a fix :/

well i often pause or stop playing video after a few seconds that might be causing this issue but i cant tell, sometimes happens when then last video i've seen played from start to finish without pauses.

Actually i think i know what may be actually causing it, the facebook GIFs, they create videos to display those gifs in the timeline and i think i've got this bug the majority of times on Facebook when trying to view them.
