Why won't Adobe Flash work on Firefox 47 now that I just upgraded to Windows 10?

I'm using Firefox 47 and just upgraded to Windows 10. Firefox says the Adobe Flash plugin is up to date. When I try to open a video on Yahoo, I have to activate Adobe Flash, but the rotating circle in the center of the blank screen runs continuously. The video never starts to play.

Your system details shows you have the just upgraded flash.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
