hOW CAN i GO BACK TO A VERSION THAT WORKS WITH NORTON IDENTITY SAFE?
MY NORTON IDENTITY SAFE HAS BEEN WORKING UP 'TIL RECENTLY. NOW IT DOES NOT WORK, I'M TOLD BY NORTON THAT THE IDENTITY SAFE DOES NOT WORK WITH LATEST VERSION OF FIREFOX. HOW CAN I STEP BACK IN FIREFOX TO LET IT WORK? HOPEFULLY NORTON WILL GET UPDATED, BUT IN THE MEAN TIME I'D LIKE TO EXTRACT MY INFORMATION FROM NORTON.

Firefox is not made to be compatible with any of the hundreds or more extensions out there including the extensions made by Symantec. Unlike most Extensions, the one provided by say antivirus clients on Windows to tie in with Firefox needs to be update for each new major version Firefox .exe.
There is a comment that there may be something by end of August in https://community.norton.com/en/forums/identity-safe-limited-compatibility-firefox-current-status however with end of month almost here who knows.
Just a thought, and I have not delved in to the recent many forum posts on the Norton support sites but does Norton's Identity Safe work on Firefox Portable? possibly the ESR version. If so that may be an easy method of having a secure and up to date Firefox available, and an earlier version that the Security Vault works on
The portable edition is a third party build of Firefox and will run from a memory stick, or may be installed on a Hard Disk Drive and will run as an additional independent Firefox browser. Currently it is based on Fx45.3 and will have received recent critical security updates.
Use the current Fx47 or Fx48 for day to day browsing but have ESR Portable available for when the Identity Safe is needed. If you can extract information without even going online with Portable ESR you will not be taking risks.
