Problem: The old tabs that were open before I reinstalled my OS still show up in the 'Synced Tabs' list.

This is bad because that old 'device' effectively does not exist anymore and its list of 'open' tabs clutters my overall list of synced tabs.

The problem occurred after I reinstalled my OS and gave it a new name, then renamed this machine in Firefox Sync.

In an attempt to get rid of that old device from Sync, I even changed my password, hoping that would solve the issue, but the old list from my abandoned install is still there.

Hi

We are aware of this issue and a change is coming soon to Firefox Accounts that will allow you to manage this much better. It is not available right now, but it is not too far from being included in the main Release version of Firefox.

You can read more about this here.
