Thunderbird 45.5.1 is not recieving mails. 5 accounts are configured but none is receiving mails.

The indicator on the top keeps showing as if it is trying to retrieve mails but nothing happens. Havent been able to refresh my mailboxes since 15/12/2016. Even the saved passwords list is empty inspite of having 5 email accounts configured on the program. Have uninstalled my antivirus (ESet Smart Security) also. The current version of Thunderbird on my system is 45.5.1. Will be forced to migrate to an alternate Email Client if the problem doesn't get resolved soon enough. Would be happy to give Teamviewer Access also if required. Its urgent. Please help.

For the time being you can probably get mail via webmail.

I am surviving on that only but will I be able to recover Thunderbird to its original state or has it completely crashed? Kindly clarify the ambiguity.

Just noticed that inspite of having 5 accounts configured on the system, no passwords are saved in the Security Tab > Saved Passwords Section. The passwords seems to have deleted by themselves and there is no option available to add the passwords back again. Kindly advise if the passwords can be updated for the accounts again. Guess that might solve the problem.
