on some videos, my screen will freeze up for about 5 seconds, and I will get an error message "Application Firefox.exe has been blocked from Graphics hardware."

This has been going on since the last Windows 10 update - at least that is when I noticed it. it only happens on some videos. Nvidea GeForce GTX1060 6CB is my graphics card. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Last night my computer has a really bad reaction - it emanated a high-pitched sound, the screen froze, I couldn't do anything but a hard reset

Hi, if you had shared more information we could have looked at the state of your Video Card Drivers.

So since do not have the information please Download a Full installer for your Video Card and then Uninstall the existing drivers . https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration Test as is and also Test with out Hardware Acceleration.

But before you do please Search for the Device Manager and check what Driver you are using and see if Microsoft has updated your Drivers to 2006 https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

The safe mode method didn't work. None of the videos would play, so I was not able to diagnose anything that way. I will try the other method that was offered.

I downloaded the latest driver (not sure why windows Update didn't do this?), but yet, the problem persists
