Windows 7, Firefox 21.0 and the latest version of Flash. My computer asks me if I would like to allow Adobe to make changes, I say yes, nothing happens. If I try to run the installer again I'm stopped by a pop up that says "Only one version of this application can run." I've tried manual instals, I've uninstalled, rebooted and had no better luck. What's the deal?

Try to run Firefox as administrator, or did you already?

hmm. Are you referring to the admin of the computer? Or is there a setting for firefox that makes you an admin? I'm definitely on the computer's admin user.

I mean right click on the firefox exe and run as Administrator and the same on the flash player exe

I tried it as admin and no luck. I don't get it.

Any Ideas out there?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Try to uninstall Flash.

Note that this will remove all installed Flash players.

I had the same problem, and quite a few of the others listed , as far as the Adobe Flash, go to adobe download (official site page), there are a list of security issue updates that have incurred since the latest updates, find your system specs, and apply the "fixes".. ''''''''However get these fixes from adobe only!!! there are shadow/look a likes..that are loaded with unpleasantness!! My security caught mine, however my friend was not so lucky, he is buying a new computer!'''''

Hope this helps,
