Is there a way to "back up" my bookmarks on my Android phone. I want to be able to read them, as you can with the desktop version, viewable as html file.

I *do not* want to synchronise them with my laptop.

Thanks.

As far as I know, it's not an easy process. As far as I know, there is not direct approach. If you think you are one of the advanced user, may follow these:

  • First you have to find browser.db,, using a powerful file explorer like Es File explorer or Z-archiver
  • The file path is / Device / data / data / org.mozilla.firefox / files / mozilla / xxxxxxxx.default
  • Then download the free SQLite Database Browser (http://sqlitebrowser.org/) for your laptop
  • Open browser.db with the soft and export "bookmarks" table to an Excel table
  • You have to a slight modification in Excel and create .HTML file
  • Then you may be get your desired result!

Thank you Sashoto Seeam. Thank you for your quick reply. I'm not a computer expert, but always want to learn. This seems a little overwhelming at first, but understand the principle. Beyond my normal experience, but a challenge to see what I can do now. Getting as far as an Excel document is really all I need. Thank you again.

Hi! I use ES Explorer, but cannot find the specified path. Is there another way to extract the bookmark files? Thanks

You need to have root permission in your device. Without root permission you can't modify or even see system files on Android.

I installed SuperSU via Framaroot, but still cannot see the file, what am I doing wrong?

See this: https://support.mozilla.org/bn-BD/questions/949785

I have seen this, but I am a novice user, so this solution might not work for me.

I can see the path until the org.mozilla.firefox folder now, but not further.

Any other ideas?
