Recently I was facing an Issue with my Firefox, it was not connecting to webpages after failing to do a TLS handshake with the server, I was suggested to disable IPv6 in my Firefox to solve the issue. I did the same and it works well now. But I'm curious what the risks I took by disabling IPv6 from Firefox.

It is not really a risk. I think that currently all (major) websites can be reached via IPv4. When you enable IPv6 in Firefox then Firefox will first try to connect via IPv6 and if that doesn't work (timeout) fallback to IPv4, so if a DNS lookup fails because a website only has a IPv6 address then you won't be able to access this website. There are some IPv6 test sites that can only be accessed via IPv6 and that is it for now.
