How do I change the value for Root Directory?
Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium Thunderbird 68.5.0
In "Help->Troubleshooting Information/Profiles about:profiles", the value for Root Directory is outdated; it points to a folder that no longer exists. (I renamed an upper folder in the path to my Thunderbird profile folder.)

Hello there Plowmail

Windows 7.
The top level of the directory is the root directory.
Looks like it has expired?
Are there any complaints you have with the operating system? concerns windows 7 or Thunderbird? Only the folder is gone.
Windows 7 outdated.

it's an old webpage but helpful
Has the computer also asked for certificates? Or encryptions lately?

Thanks very much for your response. However, my issue is not with Windows. Rather it is with Thunderbird configuration. In "Help->Troubleshooting Information/Profiles about:profiles", the value for Root Directory reads Q:\mail\Thunderbird\Profiles\32umcxms.default. But that path no longer exists. --- I discovered the file C:\Users\RJD\Application Data\Thunderbird\profiles.ini That is where the "Root Directory" is defined. I can edit that file directly, thereby changing the value Thunderbird displays as Root Directory. (I neglected to mention that I am running Portable Thunderbird. I do not understand why it uses a file in C:\Users\RJD\Application Data\.)
