Auto Page/Tab Refresh on FF Mobile
Cheers geeks,
Recently, this new, exceptionally annoying tab auto-refresh feature on Firefox came to my attention that I hadn't experienced two or three years ago. I've been using Firefox mobile since 2015.
Whenever I fill out a form and switch to another tab or app, the website refreshes, causing me to lose all my progress.
Whose marvelous idea was this, and what on earth is the bloody purpose behind it?
Unfortunately, I haven't found any workaround to disable it so far. The about:config doesn't work on mobile.
I've read something about RAM resource management, but seriously, does this single tab really require management when most devices have 8 - 16 GB RAM these days?
Please help, I'm desperate for a solution!

I totally understand your frustration with the auto-refresh feature. It can indeed be bothersome, especially when you're in the middle of something important. This change was introduced to help manage resources and improve overall performance, but I get that it's not working well for you. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct way to disable it on mobile like you would on desktop. What you could try is using the "Send Feedback" option in the Firefox menu to let the developers know about your experience. As a workaround for now, you might want to consider using a form-saving browser extension or making use of the "Collection" feature in Firefox to group related tabs together. I hope this helps, and I totally get how important a seamless browsing experience is!
