I'm running Firefox 12.0. I tried upgrading to Firefox 13, but an add-on associated with AnchorFree or Hotspot Shield was not compatible with Firefox 13. At the time, I was able to find a list of add-ons that were not compatible with Firefox 13, but I can no longer find the list. Luckily, I still had the Firefox 12 installation file so was able to go back to 12. I will not upgrade to any other Firefox unless I know what add-ons/plugins won't work with the upgraded Firefox beforehand. How do I find out before upgrading which add-ons/plugins that I have will not work in the new version?

You could try this, ahem, add-on: Is It Compatible?. It shows the version range specified in the Extension. Of course, you also should update extensions to see whether a new one has been issued before concluding that it won't be compatible. One issue I see with this add-on is that it doesn't immediately indicate to me which extension are set to "strict" compatibility and will not run beyond their listed maximum version, and which are normal and can continue to run past their listed maximum version. Hmmm...
