Cannot connect to internet with FF 23: get a "Connection reset" error message. FF21 works fine, FF 23 not at all. Nothing else changed except upgrading to 23. Again, FF21 works fine, but 23 not at all on any website, even Mozilla. Completely shut down. IE and Chrome and FF21 access internet just fine. What is up with the version of 23?

I have been a long time FF user and would hate to give it up but I am wary of continuing to use FF21 for security reasons. If I cant get 23 to work I will have to put FF aside. Please help.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router.

I tried everything listed here several times but no result. Still getting the "Connection reset" error. This is happening on both my desktop and on my laptop and I tired all these solutions on both. I don't know what else to try.
