Loss of email from Mail Toolbar upon rebooting
Email saved to Mail Toolbar which has been found and loaded to the toolbar via search disappears from Mail Toolbar on reboot of Thunderbird. If the found email (and the search) which have been saved to the Mail Toolbar are deleted from same and the relevant email is then reloaded to the Mail Toolbar directly from the list of emails (without going through search) the relevant email does not disappear from the Mail Toolbar upon Thunderbird reboot.
This is happening in Thunderbird 78.4.3 (64-bit) running on Windows 10 Version 20H2 (Build 190.42.630)
Is this a bug or a "feature?"

Try resetting the session file: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1313974
Do you apply a program like CCleaner to TB?
No CCleaner. Only antivirus Microsoft Defender. Resetting session does not change this behavior.
Appears that tabs on Mail Toolbar are transient when loaded through search, persistent otherwise. Observing this behavior on older versions of Thunderbird, newer versions of Windows 10 as well.
I see the same effect here: the Global Search tab and the 'Show results as list' tab are not persistent between TB restarts. I don't know if this is a bug or a feature. If individual messages from the search results list are opened in tabs, those tabs do persist.
