Clicking firefox icon in taskbar opens up another icon

I have Firefox 6.0.2 pinned to task bar but when I click on it it open another one ?? I tried to unpin the original one and pinning the new one but every time I unpin the original .. the new one icon change to white box ... I tried several solutions and it didn't fix it ??
