I just cleaned my whole computer and re-installed Windows 7. I downloaded and installed Firefox but "Couldn't load XPCOM". I tried to uninstall and re-install Firefox but no luck.

Hi Marbyg,

Thank you for contacting support. I have researched previous questions with this error, and the overall response was that there were files that cannot load due to not uninstalling.

Can you please provide the steps you took to uninstall Firefox on Windows 7, others have solved this issue by going directly to the Firefox Download and installed from here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

"I simply went to Mozilla and downloaded the current version of Firefox - I then just let it do its own thing and 'upgrade' my current installation, and a few minutes later, Firefox is up and running with all of my setings, add-ins etc fully intact and operational! " Refhttps://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../965228

Please post back to let us know what steps you took to uninstall and reinstall.

Other troubleshooting steps you can take is to launch the browser in safe mode to see if it is an installed add on Ratkaise Firefoxin ongelmia vikasietotilan avulla
