Pretty much what I just titled, I have a toolbar at the bottom of my window, and whenever I load a new theme, it shows behind the toolbar like it normally should. However, whenever I close the program and start a new session, the theme on the top is okay, but on the bottom the theme is blank, making it impossible to read the wording on the toolbar, completely negating the reason for having the theme. Loading a new theme or reloading the current one temporarily fixes it, but it comes back whenever you have to restart. This results in every theme I've had for the past few months, animated and static alike. How can I fix this?

Is this about using a lightweight theme (Persona) to style the user interface with a background image?

Are you using an extension that deals with such a theme?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

What the problem was was the theme I was using. A handful of the themes I had saved, and unfortunately many were my preferred ones, were the cause. Going through themes and figuring out which ones had this problem reveals which ones won't do this
