I have FF 40.0.3, Win 10, FF will minimize and will not restore.

When working on other things and FF is open, clicking the tab on the task bar will not restore FF. I can close all other windows but FF will not come back. The only way I've found out how to restore it is to close FF, then reopen and use restore previous session. This does not permanently fix the problem I often have to do the close/restore thing often during the day.

This did fix it for a while. Now back again. I should not have to continually refresh Firefox to get it to work. Any other ideas?

Try this first.

Places Maintenance {web link} Allows to run Maintenance tasks on the database that drives Places, the bookmarks and history module behind Firefox.

Open the Add-ons Manager. Locate the add-on and press the Options button. Select All of the tests. Then press Execute on the bottom.


If there is still a problem, remove the xulstore.json file again.

If the problem comes back, I will call the big guys.
