I want my tab to open to Ixquick Search Engine. That is what it displayed before you "Improved it"

Before I upgraded to Ver 4.0, whenever I opened a new tab, it would automatically open Ixquick search. Now my only options are a blank page or the last several sites that I visited. I hate both choices and Iwant to open Ixquick automatically again.

Chosen solution

Hi, for now, you can try this: Type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to browser.newtab.url and in 'Value' enter the URL of Ixquick instead of about:newtab or about:blank (right click > Modify, to change it). You may then need to restart Firefox. More - Configuration Editor for Firefox.

Note that from Firefox 41 you will need to use the add-on New Tab Override to make any changes.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

Hi

If you want to change the home page to your preference, that should be fairly easy to do.

I recommend having a read of this article that will help you set it to a page of your choice.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can, look into a different solution for you.
