I just backed up sessions folder in appdata. I need those bookmarks too! What do I do now? Install v56? or 52ESR?(I need the sessions and bookmarks in tact) Please help! And Firefox please warn with such a big change!

Update: Here are my additional concerns: 1. After I open v57, it did not prompt me to restore session. I need the previous session, on top of the hundreds of sessions stored. In order to keep/restore the previous session AFTER I've rolled back to v56/v52ESR, what should I do?

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

With the new Firefox, many old add-ons are no longer compatible.

Here are your choices; 1) Contact its support and ask if they will update 2) Find a replacement 3) Downgrade to a prior Firefox 4) Do without

Hi Fred, I want to do 3 but I need to know how to preserve my data. Will installing 56 preserve my data? or must I install 52?

Firefox comes in two or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And two folders in the profile of each user on the computer for each Firefox profile for that user.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user folders would not be affected.
