I can no longer get to my saved passwords anymore.

I currently am running Nightly 34.0a1 and I'm unable to access my saved passwords. The window that usually comes with asking for the password does not show up. I've never had a problem with this until I updated to Nightly.

Not even close. As I said when I click on saved passwords to look at the list it does nothing even though I have a master password to gain access and several username and passwords stored.

Firefox 32 and later builds store the passwords in the logins.json file in the profile folder and no longer use the signons.sqlite file. You can try to force Firefox to reimport the passwords from the signons.sqlite file.

  • reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the about:config page to the default value via the right-click context menu
  • delete the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed

When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true and you should have the passwords imported in the Password Manager unless there may have been errors.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Sorry took me a while to reply back but I'm lost on the instructions on the reset. Also if I use this and it doesn't work will my passwords will be there?

Why are you even using the Nightly pre-release version that is made available for testing what will be in future Release versions?

Nightly is intended for very technically oriented "early adopters" who want to be part of the development process, such as helping Mozilla test Bug fixes, test new features, and file Bug reports about what they find wrong.

What do you "bring to the table" to help Mozilla test this first of the alpha version Channels - the Night Channel?

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/styleguide/identity/firefox/channels/

Five weeks to get back here to fix something this simple? ... when a version of 'Firefox' only spends 6 weeks on each Channel during development?
