Hi!

Since long, I am using Firefox on my computer. Now with my new mobile phone I thought it might be a good idea to use FF there too (S7, Android 6.01). Then I wanted to move my existing bookmarks to my Andorid FF.

However, the relevant menu item is disabled: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/get-started-firefox-android#w_import-your-android-bookmarks-and-history

and the sync function does not work directly between computer and mobile phone but only over external cloud (which I will not use).

So: How can I import bookmarks? Is there a function? Are there tools? Can I copy the bookmak into a folder?

Best regards, Dimi

There is no way to manually install bookmarks. Sync is the only path.

Thank you, Kbrosnan.

Technically, the bookmarks should be in a file and it should be possible to copy this file in some way into the mobile phone. But I fear, in practice it is more difficult.

Even with encryption, Sync is not really a path. It forces me to send personal data over the internet despite my both devices are close together.

For bookmarks, Sync does not work PC -> Android in many cases even when other stuff does. The only FF import is from the 'native browser'. I can copy export file (JSON or HTML) to Android, but it is not apparent how to get FF to read it. It seems like it should not be such a problem.
